Majors: Ethics & Morality in Quandaries

Ethics & Morality in Quandaries is a major that has courses that teach the difference between good and evil in different situations. It is often difficult to know what is right and wrong, and this major teaches why that is, while not actually answering the question. Between classes covering what goodness is and why your religion’s deity dislikes you, students will learn who the legendary Peter is, and why they should care about his proverbial sakes. Metaphorical analysis will become a strong point after taking Allegorical Symbolism and Connection-Making, so students can finally understand the true ethical and moral significance of why one shouldn’t put one’s eggs all in one basket, or why a bird in the hand is in fact worth two in the bush.

Course: Intro to Goodness

Intro to Goodness teaches what “Good” actually is in the first week of classes. The rest of the class is devoted to finding out why that definition is false, and why we have yet to find a definition. Is it laziness, or is it impossible to answer? It may be possible that these questions can be answered; however, one thing is certain, if anyone knows the answers to those questions, it most certainly is not the professor teaching the course.

Course: Truth’s in Lies

Truth’s in Lies covers what people actually mean when they tell a lie, or vice versa. This course does not take the psychological approach and delve into the depths of the human mind, but instead chooses to assume that people are genuinely liars. Starting from this apex of stereotypical logic, the course then takes students through a series of tests to determine if in fact they are liars. Thus far, the professor has not been proven to be wrong more or less than half the time.
