History of Faux University
Faux University has a long and rich history...as far back as 1010. The land that the university currently rests on was the site of a college established by Leif "the lucky" Ericson. The college was started as an attempt to educate local youths in the arts of the ninja. Over the following years it expanded to the many programs that exist today.
In 1492, when Columbus sailed the ocean blue, there was a need for education in America. Christopher Columbus wanted a way to educate the Native Americans he encountered. For that reason he became President of the Smith Town Faux University. Which was later shortened to Faux University. This was done because after a few beers, everyone seems to want to shout their schools name. F.U. ... is #1!
Since the very beginning STFU stood by its motto of "Education at a Higher Price." Making trades with the Native Americans for tobacco and other products, in exchange for a zero cost education. This continued for many years until the Native Americans grew angry and burned it down.
The university was later rebuilt by George Washington. Smith Town Faux University was used in the Revolutionary War, by the American soldiers. They were taught the minimal education they needed to know before going off to war. With the acquired knowledge from STFU, the Americans were able to "educate" the British on the battle field. Somehow the university was left standing throughout the war. However, it later was destroyed during the Civil War.
Then in the 1950s STFU was rebuilt again. This is the campus that is currently being used because it hasn't been destroyed yet. During the 1950s, the college allowed the US Military Inter Continental Ballistic Missle Program to us the unused campus land to calibrate their arsenal. The resulting craters still exist today and are used for various explosive experiments.
The university started off with very few programs and classes, and now there are slightly more. One thing that hasn't changed throughout the university's life is the school motto. STFU today still offers "education at a higher price." We may have re-built our school several times. But we stand true to our name.
