Leisure Studies
The Department of Leisure studies is essential for the growth of our student body. At Faux University, we have a lot of pride in our work. Unlike many of the other colleges out there, we focus our attentions on the tools that we use in our everyday lives. These are the same tools that other colleges may over look or label "unacceptable".
In this particular department, it is the faculty's duty to supply our students with a calm and relaxing environment to work in. When the students are in this environment, their full potentials can be realized. Through countless studies, it has been shown that stress takes a major toll on the body and mind. The main goal of this department is to eliminate all stress.
The faculty of the department has dedicated almost an hour per week to field research. After 6 hours of research (including 3 hours of ping-pong), our faculty has found that 50% of the student body scores better on tests after resting. The energy and participation of students greatly increases with rest. As you can see from our statistical data, the department of leisure studies not only helps our students, but it also helps our surrounding departments.
The Department of Leisure Studies has one of the highest pass/fail ratios to date, 99.5 to 0.5. We look at the bigger picture, concentrating on issues such as eliminating world hunger, and finding world peace.
Back in the hay days when this department first began, we actively encouraged our students to pursue summer studies. One of the most memorable studies was rolling with the Grateful Dead in '76. The attendance rate for that was well above 90%.
